The following sites are examples of those I have created
for the local (Gainsborough) community. The costs involved for creating
one of these sites would be the same as for creating a business
site. See Business page for details of costs.

Town Guide
This site, which has now been in existence for a number of
years, is owned by my husband and myself.
Combining the past, present and future
of the town and containing dozens of photos, it attracts emails
and queries from all over the world.
It is run purely at our own expense,
for the people of Gainsborough past and present, and for anyone
else who has an interest in the town.
Recent queries have been
as varied as a plea for information about a specific Marshall's
tractor (from Queensland, Australia), and an enquiry
about local house prices (from an English gentleman in Canada
wishing to move to Gainsborough). I will always help if I can.
The history section of the site has always provided me with a
succession of interesting emails, both from people who remember
these past events, and from those whose parents and grandparents
were involved in some of them.
Gainsborough
Old Hall
This site was created for the Friends
of the Old Hall. They originally wanted it hosting on a
free server, where it remained for several years. Several
years ago they decided that the site was so well known,
with emails coming from all over the world, that it should
be hosted on a commercial server.
Before reloading it,
I spent a number of weeks reorganising this extensive site.
It is the only website about Gainsborough Old Hall that includes
photos of every room, plus numerous views of the surrounding
area taken from the top of the tower.
The site is also recommended in the
local Gazette for people wanting to see what the Old Hall
has to offer, and I also notice that it is extremely popular
with American travel firms, who list the site on their Lincolnshire
tours.
Gainsborough
House
The Gainsborough House site has been in existence since
2007, giving information and helping to raise the profile
of this local charity. (As a matter of interest, this
photograph of Gainsborough House was taken from the
top of the Old Hall tower).
