SCHOOLS

Schools are a very familiar environment for me. I was a teacher - both in a comprehensive school and privately - for many years, and was a school governor for twelve years.

Newsletters, etc. are always done promptly - it is rare for them not to be completed and uploaded the same day as I receive them. I am generally asked to keep school newsletters available on the site for the whole of the school year - this way there is always a record of them for parents to refer to (a record that can't get lost!)

I recognise that schools have many essential demands on their budgets, and therefore the websites that I create for schools are priced accordingly.

Prices are as follows:

A 3 - page website	= £250
Between 4 and 10 pages	= £350
Between 11 and 15 pages	= £425
Between 16 and 20 pages	= £500

For sites over 20 pages there is an extra cost of £10 for each additional page. Photographs taken by ourselves are an extra £25 for the whole website.

After 12 months I normally charge a yearly fee for updating your site - typically £120 per year. This includes general updates, newletters, etc.
Extra pages and photographs after the first year are normally charged for separately, and would cost in the region of £10 per extra page or set of photos, depending on the work involved. I will always inform you if the work that you have requested will incur an extra charge.

To design your web site I need the following:

Text for inclusion on the site
List of pages required
School photographs (unless taken by ourselves). These can be either printed photos or on CD. The actual photos for inclusion will be chosen by me and optimised for clarity and fast loading on the Internet. Please make sure that I know to what each photograph refers
Copy of school logo (if required for inclusion)
School contact details (telephone number, fax number, email address).
School web space details (ftp server address, school user name, password and website address). These details are available from the relevant Education Authority.
Named person for me to contact with any queries

Your website is a showcase for your school, and the image it portrays is very important.

Please note that no pupil will be shown on any photograph in a way that would enable them to be recognised unless specifically requested by the school, and with the full consent of the child's parent/guardian.
